Gérard Houllier says the German team lack experience and Argentina has more individuality. The former French international coach offered his thoughts on the four FIFA World Cup quarterfinal matches to be played July 2nd and 3rd in South Africa.

Germany verses Argentina is obviously the pick of the ties, "I expect a lot of emotion because they are two tournament teams that are regularly through to the quarterfinals or semi finals they have met a couple of times in the final."

The former Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool boss who was part of FIFA's Technical Committee during the 2002 and 2006 World Cups believes Paraguay will be a difficult challenge for Spain. "The Paraguayan team is very difficult to score a goal against because they have a very strong defence."

As for Uruguay verses Ghana, Houllier would like to see the first African nation qualify for the semi-finals of the FIFA event but thinks the South American team is growing in confidence.

Brazil against the Netherlands is sure to be an interesting encounter according to Houllier. The Frenchman describes Brazils as looking, "extremely confident and solid," and the Netherlands as, "Well organised."
