The Ajax attacker insists he has now matured and admits he would love to earn another shot at English football one day.
"I have grown up a lot in the last few years," Babel told the Sunday Mirror. "If you are 20 you don't have the same life experiences as at 25. People try to warn you about certain things, but sometimes you have to experience those things yourself.
"Moving to Liverpool was a new world for me. I had been living with my parents in Holland and all of a sudden I was living in a foreign country on my own.
"I don't get in trouble on Twitter any more. In the past, I used it for the wrong reasons. But now I use social media to share some interesting news, rather than to post random stuff that has no value to anything.
"Football players have to grow up very fast. It's a tough life sometimes. It depends on the individual, how strong they are and how they deal with certain situations.
