Vancouver Whitecaps recruit Jun Marques Davidson says he is looking forward to again working closely with Martin Rennie.
The Japanese midfielder played under the new Whitecaps coach when at NASL club Carolina RailHawks and will now be under his tutelage again but this time in MLS.
"It was a very tough decision but finally I decided why not play with Martin again because he is a really good coach and a great motivator," said the former Omiya Ardija and Albirex Niigata man.
And Davidson, who was born and raised in Tokyo to American parents, is looking to improve the way he performs as a defensive midfielder.
"I'll keep the ball for the team and when we don't have it, I'll look to go into the spaces where fullbacks go and keep the defensive balance on the team.""That's what I'm aiming for - to keep the position and be really smooth on the ball left to right," he added.
