The 32-year-old has confirmed that he will pen a deal with the Qatari club by the end of the week.
The former Uruguayan international will travel to Doha in the next couple of days to complete his move to Al-Gharafa, club who are coached by Marcos Paqueta of Brazil.
Earlier in the week Recoba confirmed that he will return to his former club, Nacional of Montevideo, after his contract with Al-Gharafa expires.
