Ex-Hibernian midfielder Victor Palsson and English journeyman Tom Williams are amongst a group of players set to trial with New York Red Bulls.
20-year old Iceland youth international Palsson and former QPR and Swansea City midfielder Williams will join the likes of FC New York striker Jhonny Arteaga, academy signee Giorgi Chigradze, ex-New England Revolution midfielder Joseph Niouky, and Trinidad & Tobago-born midfielder Quame Holder.
Red Bulls head coach Hans Backe said Holder and Arteaga in particular were players he wanted to look at more closely.
"Yeah I think a guy like Arteaga, of course he's a young guy, but he could be one of four (strikers). I think so,'' he added. "I liked him in the reserves from what I saw. (He had) a good attitude, too.''"From our reserves, I think he played well,'' Backe said of Holder. "He played well as a holding midfielder, and he's one of these guys that I definitely will have a fresh eye on, because I think he could be a guy we look to this week.
