Craig Gordon is supremely confident that he will soon be back competing at the top level.
The 30-year old former Heart of Midlothian, Sunderland and Scotland goalkeeper is continuing to return from a long-term knee injury which has forced him out of the game for more than two years.
Gordon is currently taking his B-Licence coaching badges in Largs, where he is able to train with the other coaches in waiting, and although he is frustrated at the moment, he is assured that he will play again.
"Absolutely (I feel frustrated)," he told the Daily Record. "You just get this feeling of wanting to do more.
"It's not great to be in that frame of mind where you know you're capable of so much more but you're limited by what you can do physically.
"Hopefully over time that'll improve. It's better than it's been though, better than in a long time. Probably two years.
"And hopefully over the summer I can improve it a bit more again."
He added: "I may look to go into a club sometime next season but only if I feel it's going to be of benefit, and only when I'm ready.
"At some point the sharpness and the quickness of movement will have to come into it - you can't do that stuff by yourself so I'll have to commit to that if I want to get back to any kind of level.
"That won't happen overnight, it will take weeks, maybe months - but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.
"I've had calls to see if I'm available for next season but until I know what state I'm in I don't want to go and let anybody down, sign as one of their keepers then not be able to play for a whole season."
