Kevin Kyle could resume his career with Hibernian after receiving a call from assistant manager Billy Brown.
The 31-year old was released by Heart of Midlothian at the end of last season after undergoing hip surgery and he is now looking to get back to full fitness with a chance arising with his old clubs fierce Edinburgh rivals.
"Billy knows me well from when we were both at Hearts and he was assistant to Jim Jefferies, and he wanted to know what my situation was for next season.
"I'll speak to Hibs and take it from there but the priority is to get a good pre-season under my belt and get back to a level I know I can play at.""I returned from honeymoon and had a message on my phone from Billy, who said Hibs boss Pat Fenlon had asked him to give me a call," the former Sunderland man told the Daily Record.
