North Queensland Fury have added 30-year old striker Gary Wales to their tour to Singapore this week.

The former Hearts and Kilmarnock hitman was recommended to coach Ian Ferguson by his former teammate at Rangers, Dave McPherson.

Fury has a full complement of visa players but invited Wales along as they are short on fit players for the game against Tampines Rovers on Sunday in Singapore.

Upon Wales' return to Australia next week, he will join an A-League club for pre-season training.

Apart from Hearts and Kilmarnock, Wales also had stints with Raith Rovers in Scotland and Walsall and Gillingham in England.
