Former Everton star John Collins feels Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe should replace Sam Allardyce.
The Scot is unimpressed by the Blues manager.
"I think it was the wrong appointment. Sam's strength is that he keeps teams in the league, he's proved that," said Collins.
"He knows how to win football matches, but the next stage is entertaining and dominating more possession and that's what Everton are looking for.
"The top six is a tough top six to get into, and I think that's a tall order for whoever would come in to be the next Everton manager.
"You would like to think a British manager, I think the best is at Bournemouth. He plays the football the big teams play, possession-based, dominating the ball.
"I'd like to see him given a chance."
