Australian national team star Tim Cahill is adding fashion design to his long list of achievements.
The New York Red Bulls midfielder has got together with UK-based Shoreditch London to launch a new range of men's clothing, to be named 'Shoreditch by Tim Cahill'.
The former Everton star told the Sydney Morning Herald that he was set to take a very hands-on approach to the project which has been bubbling away for the past little while.
"I've always been involved in fashion. I've had an eight-year relationship with Armani and I've been to Milan fashion shows," Cahill said.
"I'm friends with people in the industry like Ted Baker, I get to go to shows like Alexander Wang in New York.
"While living in New York I've had a strong exposure to the fashion industry, which has been a strong inspiration for the launch of my own clothing line.
"I've been speaking with Shoreditch London now for eight months. I love the quality of their suits and casual range. Over time, it's progressed into launching a collaboration that will come out in 2015.
"The range will consist of suits, sport jackets, bomber jackets and shirts in a great price range for the everyday person. It's a long-term relationship that we're going to take global and we're starting in Australia. I have a feeling that it definitely will be successful."
