Raul Rodriguez insists he is ready to meet the challenge in front of him with new club Houston Dynamo.
The 27-year old centre-back joined the MLS club from Spanish side Espanyol early last month and is ready and raring to go regarding the prospect of fitting into a brand new system after spending so long in his homeland.
"I was in Spain five or six years, and I felt a change would be better for me," Rodriguez said.
"New players, a different league and a different space and a new atmosphere. For me it was a chance to stay in another country, another culture. For me it was a very good moment in my life."
Rodriguez has over 80 matches of La Liga experience to bring to Houston and is looking forward to using that know-how can to assist the Dynamo in achieving success in 2015 and beyond.
"I cannot bring something in mind that I can't use here. I have to have some balance and decide what I can bring here and how can I adapt to the philosophy," he added.
