Trevor Francis has been released from hospital this afternoon after suffering a heart attack late last week.
The 57-year old former England, Birmingham City, Nottingham Forest, Manchester City, QPR and Sheffield Wednesday striker was admitted to Birmingham Heartlands Hospital on Friday but is now out after having successful surgery.
"Trevor Francis was discharged from Birmingham Heartlands Hospital this afternoon," said a hospital spokesman.
The football community have shown their support for Francis and his family over the weekend and it is great news that he is now doing well following the health scare.
