Stuart Pearce will become Nottingham Forest manager at the end of the season according to Sky Sports.
The 51-year old former England U21 boss is expected to be appointed to the role this Thursday but will not officially take the reins until the summer.
Forest chairman Fawaz Al-Hasawi sacked Billy Davies last month and has been on the search for a replacement ever since.
There have been a number of names linked with the job, including former England caretaker Pearce, who apparently had turned it down last week.
However, the ex-Forest, West Ham United and Manchester City defender has reportedly had a change of heart and is expected to sign a two-year deal this week.
