Steve McClaren is currently in negotiations with Championship Derby for talks about the vacant manager's job. Speaking outside Pride Park, McClaren told Sky Sports News: "I'm just going in to have a quick chat with them. "Great coming back. It's good to be back and hopefully things will work out."
The former England boss is currently working as part of QPR's coaching staff but R's manager Harry Redknapp admitted he looks set to lose him.
"He's made no secret of the fact he wants to get back into management and we won't be standing in his way if somebody does come in for him," he said.
"We had an agreement that he could leave if a club showed interest and I think there is a good chance we could lose him."
