Former Chelsea and Manchester United midfielder Ray Wilkins has had successful heart surgery.

Wilkins has revealed he has just had the all-clear after undergoing double heart bypass surgery.

He said: "Everything is fine now. I'm getting stronger by the day. It's really no problem at all.

"I'm up and about and walking, feeling a lot healthier.

"Full recovery is expected to be between six to nine months."
