Marcel Desailly is of firm belief that Chelsea are in desperate need of a playmaker in the mould of Kaka or Wesley Sneijder.
The former Blues defender has urged his old club to go after a creative player that can help the likes of Frank Lampard and Michael Essien and provide some back-up for the strikers.
"Chelsea need a playmaker," he told Goal.com.
"We need somebody who can play in between the strikers and the midfield to relieve the pressure from Essien and Lampard to go forward.
"Somebody who can take the game into their own hands like Kaka or Wesley Sneijder."
