Dermot Drummy could become the first Englishman to manage in Brazil's top flight.
According to the Daily Mail, the former Chelsea coach will travel from London to Rio de Janeiro to meet with officials of Bangu Atletico Clube.
Drummy will be flown to Brazil by Bangu president Jorge Varela and will stay for four days during which time he will take in a tour of the facilities and discuss terms.
The 54-year old had previously acted as manager of Chelsea's academy for two years and spent a further three as reserve team manager.
