Aston Villa are set to hold new talks with Roberto Di Matteo over the managerial position at Villa Park following the snub from David Moyes, according to reports from the Daily Mail.

Villa's incoming new owner Dr. Tony Xia has begun his search for a new manager but he was delivered a huge blow after top candidate Moyes decided to reject the proposal for the West Midlands outfit.

Following Moyes' rejection, Villa have reportedly turned their attention to Di Matteo and the Championship outfit are planning fresh talks with the former Chelsea manager within the next 24 hours.
