Ex-Lincoln City boss Chris Sutton has been linked with a return to management with Motherwell, reports this is Lincolnshire. Sutton has been out of the game since dramatically quitting as Imps boss immediately after watching his side draw 0-0 against Burton Albion on September 28.
A move back to Scottish football is likely to tempt the former Celtic striker and it is understood he has been interviewed by the Fir Park club.
The Motherwell board have been searching for a replacement for Craig Brown - who has joined Aberdeen - and other contenders for the job are thought to include Stuart McCall and Jimmy Calderwood.
The move may be helped by the fact Sutton's brother, John, plays for the club
