Former Burnley coach becomes assistant manager with Bournemouth

Former Burnley coach Russ Wilcox has been named as assistant to Bournemouth boss Lee Bradbury. The 47 year old will officially sign an 18-month contract on Friday.

Bradbury told BBC Radio Solent: "He's worked at every level and possesses every badge you could ask for."

He continued: "I felt that we made a very good connection when we met and thought we could work well together.

"I wanted to bring someone in who was experienced and has done it at all levels and Russ has certainly done that."

Wilcox has previously worked as Brian Laws' assistant at Scunthorpe, Sheffield Wednesday and Burnley.
