Former Bristol City boss Johnson eyes job at rivals Rovers

Former Bristol City boss Gary Johnson would consider the vacant manager's post at cross-city rivals Bristol Rovers. Johnson has been out of work since leaving his post as boss of League Two outfit Northampton in November last year.

"You don't rule anything out," he told BBC Points West.

"I class myself as a West Country person and this is where I enjoyed all my football. Of course I'm interested in everything that comes up.

"I want to get back into management. I can't stand sitting at home and watching Loose Women, it's driving me up the wall.

"It's going to be a decent job for somebody. It's a big club with a great fanbase and lots of potential. They've got to find someone who can turn it round quickly and get Rovers back up that table."
