Former Birmingham owner Sullivan to make West Ham bid

Former Birmingham City owner David Sullivan is plotting to buy West Ham United.

When Sullivan receives £25million from Carson Yeung for the sale of the Blues, he has hinted that he is likely to go through the Hammers debts to see if it is viable to buy at a bargain fee.

"Half of me would like to have three months off after leaving Birmingham but I want to stay in football," Sullivan said.

"I will start looking at what is available next week but at a lot of clubs the debt exceeds the value of the club."
