New York Red Bulls are on the verge of finalizing a deal for Cordoba defender Armando Lozano.
Diario Cordoba reported last week that the 29-year old centre-back was set to sign a contract with the MLS club and now the NY Post has backed that up by suggesting he will pen a two-year deal.
The Red Bulls failed to select a defender in Thursday's MLS SuperDraft which indicates that they will secure the services of former Malaga, Levante and Barcelona man as a replacement for Markus Holgersson who was released at the end of the 2013 season.
New York head coach Mike Petke said: "I think you could easily read into that and justified to do so."
