Former Barcelona and Chelsea striker Samuel Eto'o has been appointed interim player-manager at Turkish outfit Antalyaspor.

Eto'o joined Antalyaspor from Italian outfit Sampdoria during the summer and has been handed managerial duties following the sacking of former boss Yusuf Simsek on December 7.

The Cameroonian international will be assisted in the role by the club's technical director Mehmet Ugurlu.

The 34-year-old has made 15 appearances for Antalyaspor this campaign, finding the back of the net on 13 occasions.
