Former Aston Villa, Swansea forward Moore joins Chivas USA

Chivas USA have confirmed the signing of English striker Luke Moore.

The 28-year old Birmingham-born forward has joined the Goats after leaving Turkish club Elazigspor and will become an official part of the Californian clubs roster upon receipt of his International Transfer Certificate.

Chivas head coach Wilmer Cabrera was thrilled to welcome Moore to the club after following his career around the UK and Europe.

"Moore is a very talented player who has proven his scoring ability at the international level by playing in one of the biggest leagues in the world," said Cabrera.

"He's going to be a very important addition to our team in terms of competition, depth, and possibilities up front to create scoring opportunities and goals."

Moore begun his senior career with Aston Villa in 2003 after coming through the clubs youth academy and went on to score 15 goals more than 80 appearances for the Villans.

He undertook loan spells with Wycombe Wanderers and West Bromwich Albion before heading permanently to The Hawthorns in 2008. A temporary stint with Derby County followed prior to a 2011 shift to Swansea City before his move to Turkey in August last year.
