Paul Lambert says he will assist Jurgen Klopp in adapting to life in the Premier League if he requires it.
The former Aston Villa manager knows Klopp from his time playing in Germany and has also coached alongside him during training sessions in the former Borussia Dortmund manager's homeland.
Klopp is the firm favourite to be installed as Liverpool's new manager and if he lands the job, Lambert has opened his lines of contact to the two-time Bundesliga coach.
"Hypothetically, if he picked up the phone and asked what the league was like then I could give him an insight into it," Lambert told The Sun.
"Klopp is a top, top manager, he won't need too much guidance on a lot of things, he'll maybe just ask little things about it.
"But if he did pick up the phone or wanted to have a chat if he did get the job, I would meet him."
