Lukas Podolski drew the curtain on his international career last night.
The 31-year-old Galatasaray striker played his 130th and final match for Germany in their 1-0 win over England.
Podolski scored the only goal of the match - a stunning strike in the 69th minute - and he described his national team send off like being in a movie.
"The way it ended today was like a film," said ex-Arsenal ace Podolski, who finished with 49 goals for Germany.
"We win 1-0 and I score.
"It was like in a movie. It was a great game, a great result and a great way to say goodbye.
"That gave me goosebumps to get a reception like that."
Teammate Thomas Muller added: "I couldn't have written a better script, It would be too cheesy for me as a director.
"No one would believe it."
