Former Arsenal striker Eduardo signs for Legia Warsaw

Former Arsenal striker Eduardo has signed for Polish side Legia Warsaw.

Arsene Wenger brought Eduardo to the Gunners in 2007 from Dinamo Zagreb in a deal worth £7.5 million.

He started off life at the club on a decent note before suffering a horrific injury in February 2008 following a tackle from Birmingham City's Martin Taylor which left him with a broken left fibula and a dislocated left ankle, which left him on the sidelines for a year.

All in all, Eduardo only managed eight goals from 41 appearances in the Premier League and he eventually left Arsenal in July 2010 to join Ukrainian giants Shakhtar Donetsk whom he helped win the league and cup double in each of his four years there.

Though born in Brazil, Eduardo represented Croatia at international level after becoming a citizen of the European nation in 2002.

Prior to signing for Legia Warsaw, he was on the books of Atletico Paranaense in his native Brazil.
