A-League club Perth Glory have pulled off a major coup by signing former France international defender William Gallas.
The 36-year old centre-half has signed a one-year deal as an international marquee player for the Western Australian outfit and is extremely excited about the next phase in his already successful career.
"After speaking to Alistair Edwards and Jason Brewer, the passion and ambition in the voices of both gentlemen enticed me to this new challenge in Australia. I look forward to wearing with pride the Jersey of Perth Glory for this season," he said via his agent.
"I hope to help my new team mates and club achieve success in this season and hope to help deliver to the fans of Perth the championship they are looking for. I look forward to this new challenge and hope to excite the fans."
Gallas has previously played with Caen, Marseille, Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham, winning two Premier League titles with the Blues, and has also represented Les Bleus in two World Cups.
