Former Arsenal skipper Thomas Vermaelen is reportedly the subject of interest from Premier League clubs Chelsea and Liverpool.

Spanish website Fichajes.net is reporting Vermaelen is looking to leave Barcelona, who paid £15million to buy him from the Gunners in the summer of 2014.

Vermaelen has been troubled by injuries during his time at the Nou Camp and believes it is time to move on.

Southampton and West Ham are also said to be interested in the 30-year-old Belgian who is keen on a Premier League return.
