Former Argentina international Claudio Lopez is being linked with a move to the Colorado Rapids.
The 35-year old forward was not kept by the Kansas City Wizards after two seasons with the club and has been linked with the Rapids.
Lopez started his career back in 1999 with Estudiantes in Argentina's Premier Division and since then has played for Racing Club, Spain's Valencia, Italy's Lazio, Mexico's Club America before joining the Wizards in 2008 following a brief return to Racing Club.
He has represented the Argentina national team close to 60 times and was a member of both the 1998 and 2002 World Cup squads, scoring against Holland in the '98 version.
