DC United have confirmed the signing of veteran forward Chris Rolfe.
The 31-year old has joined the Washington club from Chicago Fire in exchange for allocation money.
Rolfe spent eight seasons with the Fire, scoring 55 goals and providing 22 assists in over 200 appearances in all competitions, while also spending time in Denmark with Aalborg between 2010 and 2012.
"Chris brings great technical ability as well as National Team and European experience to our club," said D.C. United General Manager Dave Kasper.
"He plays with a high soccer IQ and will give us more options in our attack. As a well-liked and respected veteran in our league, we look forward to him joining the team."
Rolfe played twice for the Fire in the 2014 MLS season before arriving at the RFK Stadium. He could make his DC debut when they host the New England Revolution this weekend.
