After on off-season hiatus, Bobby Convey is back in touch for the San Jose Earthquakes.
The 26-year old struggled on his return to MLS action last year when he made the switch from English club Reading to the Quakes mid-season and he admits his form suffered.
But after a freshen up in between the 2009 and 2010 MLS seasons, the midfielder is back to his best with five assists in six appearances.
"I had a rest in the offseason to clear my head of a few things and was able to workout for a month before the season," Convey told Soccer365. "That was the longest break for a while for me away from the game.
"It was difficult coming from the middle of the season in England straight into a new full season (in 2009). The adjustment was hard as I was not as fit as I needed to be to play a full season and burned out a little bit.
"I am fitter than I have been in a long time and really excited for the rest of this season," he added. "The games cannot come quick enough for the guys."
