Diego Forlan has declared he intends to play out his career with Atletico Madrid.
The former Manchester United striker is ready to snub the reported interest of Tottenham and Liverpool.
"I would love to retire at Atletico Madrid," he told Marca.
"But the board are the ones who decide and we must remember that. I have a contract and I'm very happy, and always answer the same when there are rumours. I've never said I wanted to leave.
"If offers come in, it's necessary to see what is best for the club and best for me.
"I have certain plans for the future, but things change and it is difficult to know what will happen, but I want to continue in Europe for as long as possible."
