Premier’s Plate winners Brisbane Roar are the firm favourites to complete the double but Colosimo feels the Reds, who have not won for three matches, can bounce back from a poor spell and take the Roar down in the finals although it may become harder without key defender Iain Fyfe who has joined Korean club Busan I’Park.
''I like Adelaide, I really do. I think the biggest thing that's going to hurt them is (Iain) Fyfe going,'' Colosimo said.
''I like the way they play, their forward structure, the way they are defensively. Fyfe is a big loss, but if I had to pick one team if anyone is going to knock Brisbane off, it could be Adelaide.''
Colosimo also gave some hope to derby rivals Melbourne Victory who he says have the players to do the job on their day.
''Any team with a guy like Archie Thompson, Carlos Hernandez, to an extent Grant Brebner, they are good players, they lift teams, they push teams,” he added. “There is the obvious massive loss of 'Musky' [Kevin Muscat] who I think is Melbourne Victory. But when you have got Archie and Robbie [Kruse] those guys [anything is possible].''
