Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is stepping up his bid for Real Madrid star Kaka. The Telegraph says Abramovich is intensifying Chelsea's interest in Kaka, who appears certain to leave Real Madrid at the end of the season for around £25 million.
It is understood the 28-year-old Brazilian's representatives have already held preliminary talks with intermediaries about a move to Stamford Bridge and that he is open to the deal.
However, he could return to AC Milan, where patron Silvio Berlusconi, the Italian PM, has declared he would welcome Kaka back "with open arms".
