Nottingham Forest are chasing Bolton Wanderers striker Danny Ward for a loan deal.
The Mirror says Forest are leading the chase for Ward, but Trotters manager Owen Coyle is still unsure whether to send him out on loan.
The emergency loan window opened on Tuesday and Forest are ready to bolster their squad ahead of their promotion push for the Premier League.
Forest assistant manager Julian Darby was in attendance when Ward made his comeback from a 10-month injury lay-off in Bolton's reserves on Tuesday.
After seeing his Bolton squad ravaged by injury this season, Coyle is not sure whether he wants to lose Ward, who he hopes could become a useful squad player.
