Forest keep Man City defender Cunningham for season

Manchester City have agreed for Greg Cunningham to see out the season with ChampionshipNottingham Forest. The Republic of Ireland international will now spend the remainder of the 2011/12 campaign at the City Ground on loan, with Reds boss Steve Cotterill delighted to have retained the services of a key defensive figure.

"I think he's done really well and has caught everyone's eye," he told the club's official website.

"I think our supporters like him, which is obviously important, and we're really pleased he's staying with us.

"Greg is a good lad. He comes in every day, does his bits and pieces after training in the gym and we've been delighted with him.

"He's a really good footballer and a fantastic lad - he has fitted in around the place very well.

"Everything has now been agreed with Manchester City and we're just finalising all the paperwork that needs to be done."
