Forest hat-trick has Aston Villa winger Sinclair riding high

Scott Sinclair says his hat-trick against Nottingham Forest has done a world of good to his confidence.

Following a couple of difficult seasons, Sinclair is now looking to start afresh at Aston Villa and the winger certainly is heading on the right track, as evidenced by his fine treble in the 3-3 draw against Forest on the weekend.

Sinclair has been left pleased with the progress he has made so far and has stated that the goals against Forest has given a huge boost ahead of the new Premier League season.

Sinclair said in the Birmingham Mail: "As an attacking player you need to be able to build your confidence up in pre-season to take you on for the next week when it starts for real.

"It's great that I got a couple of goals and my confidence will be high going into the next game and it's all about performances.

"Each game has gone by in the pre-season and it's great for me personally that I've scored the hat-trick, but it's a bit disappointing that we've conceded in the last minute to not win the game. My confidence is high going into the next game we just have to take it from there and we get a win."
