Nottingham Forest fullback Eric Lichaj is facing a double hernia op.
Lichaj, who has made 26 appearances for the Reds since moving to the City Ground from Aston Villa on a free transfer in the summer, limped off in the recent 4-1 home defeat to Wigan.
Lichaj requires a double hernia operation, the Sky Bet Championship club have confirmed.
A statement on Forest's official website said: "The club cannot set an expected date for Eric's return but will give supporters an update on his progress in due course."
