Charlie Adam's second-half penalty ensured Blackpool will defend a slender 2-1 advantage at Nottingham Forest on Tuesday in the second leg of their Coca-Cola Championship play-off semi-final. But Forest boss Billy Davies urged the home fans to get right behind the team on Tuesday night.

Forest played well in the first half but were unable to sustain this in the second and the manager told the club's official website: "We had a vast number of chances in the first 45 minutes, we were excellent and could have scored one or two more goals.

"But we gave away two soft goals and were stop-start in the second half and didn't move the ball around as well.

"It is a difficult pitch and they handled the surface better, it suits their game better.

"We play a different type of game and now have a great opportunity to go back to the City Ground where we will have the fans behind us."

With Blackpool having a slender one-goal lead the manager knows it is still all to play for.

Davies emphasized the important part that a sell-out crowd have to play on Tuesday, adding: "I want to urge the fans to get right behind the players, make sure the colours are waving and the atmosphere is electric.

"Get behind the players and we will do everything we can to get to Wembley."
