Nottingham Forest boss Steve Cotterill will be active in the January transfer window. The Reds have fallen back into the Championship relegation zone following the 4-0 home defeat to Leeds on Tuesday night.
"We probably need to trade a little if we can and maybe freshen things up a little bit, if possible," said Cotterill, who has had to contend with an extensive injury list since taking over at the City Ground in mid-October.
"But that has got to be based on trading. You can't force anybody to buy anybody from your squad."
