Nottingham Forest are competing with Derby County for Stoke City midfielder Michael Tonge.
The People says Forest chief Billy Davies hopes to have the 27-year-old Stoke midfielder - who spent a chunk of last season at Derby - on a season-long deal.
Tonge has declared he's ready to leave the Brit this summer.
