Nottingham Forest are going for Stoke City defender Danny Collins.
The Mirror says Forest boss Steve McClaren is ready to end his transfer frustrations by signing Stoke City's Welsh centre half Collins on loan.
McClaren has been unhappy about the lack of activity but has now lined up a deal for Welsh international Collins - and now hopes his money men complete the deal.
Collins is on around £25,000-a-week with the Potters and Forest are prepared to pay close to that sum to take him on for the rest of the year.
Ipswich are also interested, but Forest may flex their financial muscle to sign respected defender Collins - who is out of Tony Pulis's plans at Stoke.
