Footballers around the world took to Twitter to pay tribute to Nelson Mandela who passed away aged 95 in South Africa on December 5.
Mandela, also known as Madiba, led South Africa out of apartheid and became the nation's first black president in 1994 and changed the lives of many people in his homeland and round the world.
