FOOTIE TWEETS: Real Madrid star Ronaldo's worst La Liga start; Man City, Man Utd stretch lead; Juventus, Bayern Munich fall off;

It has been a turbulent seven days for football clubs across Europe. Champions have fallen, broken from the pack and been left all alone. And here it all is, told in 140 characters or less.

One of the more stranger events that took place on the weekend was Barcelona's 3-0 win over Las Palmas at Camp Nou in front of no fans…

The decision to play behind closed doors was made as violence spilled onto the streets of Barcelona as Catalonia independence voters and police clashed.

In the capital, and it was bad news for Cristiano Ronaldo despite Real Madrid beating Espanyol 2-0.

Los Blancos fans shouldn't be too concerned though… CR7 has managed four goals in two Champions League games this season.

Meanwhile in England, the two Manchester clubs extended their lead at the top of the Premier League table.

While things for Crystal Palace aren't looking up…

Things are spicing up in Italy as Juve's firm grip of the Serie A seems to be loosening...

A similar change is brewing in Germany as Bayern Munich have sacked their coach and slipped five points behind Bundesliga leaders Borussia Dortmund.

But everyone can take a deep long breath because it is international break this weekend…

We feel you Jose.

And that was your last 7 days in football! (In 140 characters or less)
