Last week we touched on the very loose comparison between Leo Messi and the new chief of the Vatican, Pope Francis.
This week, the Barcelona and Argentina star was showing off the new ink job he got done in honour of his son Thiago.
Check out the picture below, via the 'Leo Messi Fan Club', to see what Messi got tattooed on his famous left leg.

Elsewhere in Twitter land, we found a few other little gems from the week, starting with one from Manchester United great Edwin van der Sar.
The Dutchman was one of many to pay tribute to Stoke City's Michael Owen who is set to retire come season's end. van der Sar fondly remembered one of Owen's goals for United which he scored deep into injury-time to beat arch rivals Manchester City 4-3 back in 2009.
All the best to @themichaelowen for his career and will never forget that winner against City for #Manutd in Fergie time! — Edwin van der Sar (@vdsar1970) March 19, 2013
Another keeper, Aston Villa's Shay Given, also sent some words of kindness to Owen with the former Liverpool man returning the love.
@no1shaygiven Cheers horse, kind words from a top man. — michael owen (@themichaelowen) March 19, 2013

Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko and Stoke City goalkeeper Asmir Begovic were heavily involved in a day for the kids with Unicef Bosnia.
A rough translation of Begovic's tweet reads: "Great day with the kids today, really glad that I could be there. thank you."

Norwich City goalkeeper John Ruddy is loving being back on the training pitch as he prepares to return from a four-month absence because of a thigh injury.
Looking forward to a recovery day tomorrow after a good 2 days GK training & a shooting session with the u21s #progress — John Ruddy (@Johnruddy86) March 19, 2013
To wrap it up, Newcastle United defender Massadio Haidara was badly injured in a reckless tackle by Wigan Athletic youngster Callum McManaman and although Joey Barton does not feel it was an intentional act, he believes the Latics striker should receive some sort of punishment.
Not that I'm wanting the Wigan boy banned for long but to do nothing when there is a young, french boy lying in hospital, is ludicrous @fa — Joseph Barton (@Joey7Barton) March 19, 2013
In his defence I don't think the kid meant it. Was just a poor tackle. But its a straight red card every day of the week. Can't do nothing..
