FOOTIE TWEETS: Barton gets stuck into Thiago Silva while QPR's Samba defends his defending

Christopher Samba was criticised heavily for his subpar performance in QPR's 3-2 loss to Fulham at Craven Cottage.

The former Blackburn Rovers centre-back was at fault for a couple of Fulham goals on the night and was quickly reminded by fans on Twitter that he is earning a lot of money to do his job.

As the negative tweets rolled in, Samba defended his massive salary after putting in a shocker. First, he apologised to R's supporters for his poor first-half performance before the tweets poured in, a lot of them criticising him in regards to the amount of cash he pockets each week.

Before adding:

Norwich City loanee Kei Kamara was a little bit more light-hearted with some of his recent tweets, most notably on April Fool's Day.

Before he set the record straight.

West Brom keeper Ben Foster enjoyed a night out at the cinemas to see newly-released British thrilled 'Welcome To the Punch' but was uninterested in one of his fellow theatre-goers.

Cesc Fabregas was looking for the customary support from the Barcelona faithful following Tuesday night's 2-2 draw with Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League quarter-final first leg.

Whilst Chelsea's Demba Ba was full of praise for PSG's Brazilian defender Thiago Silva.

On the subject of Thiago Silva, our favourite Twitter performer Joey Barton heavily criticised the Brazilian earlier on Tuesday before having to eat his words later.

But Barton wasn't finished there…

In Tuesday's other Champions League meeting, Bayern Munich beat Juventus 2-0 with the workrate of the Germans impressing Liverpool keeper Brad Jones.

And former Arsenal and Tottenham youngster Rohan Ricketts is not a fan of Everton's Phil Neville…..or so it seems.

Hold on….it was someone else's quote!
