Football Supporters' Federation calls for Premier League ticket price reduction

The Football Supporters' Federation are calling on Premier League clubs to reduce ticket sales.

BT and Sky have paid a combined £5.136billion to show 168 live games per season between 2016-19.

By the time negotiations for the international rights are concluded, the total is likely to top £8bn.

FSF chair Malcolm Clarke today told the London Evening Standard: "Billions of pounds have fallen into the clubs' laps and there's a real chance here for them to do something positive.

"Three per cent of the increase from the latest deal would pay for a £20 away ticket cap. The increase equates to £40-plus for every fan, at every game. Players, owners and agents have all gained from this windfall, and now it's time for fans to benefit via lower prices."
