The Football League is seeking further clarification from Notts County regarding its apparently complex ownership framework. According to the Guardian, the League Two club has been issued with a questionnaire by the Football League as they attempt to unravel the matter.
The Football League confirmed last month the club had passed the fit and proper persons test in relation to the takeover by Munto Finance.
The League declared itself satisfied that controversial businessman Russell King was not involved with County, except in an earlier advisory capacity, and that all ties had been severed.
However, doubts have since come to light regarding the Munto deal, and in relation to King's potential involvement, forcing the League to seek further answers from the club.
